It can be used as stand-alone solution or in combination with beach nourishment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Stand-alone solution<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The PEM System<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Has no pumps and uses no energy.<\/li>\n<li>Supplements the beach with sand very similar to the original type\u00a0of sand.<\/li>\n<li>Will not result in\u00a0down-drift erosion.<\/li>\n<li>Will not create\u00a0scarps\/sand walls.<\/li>\n<li>Has no adverse environmental effects as the vertical tubes are below the sand level on the beach.
